In my work mentoring new teachers, and in teacher development for peers across disciplines, I aim not to increase independence, but to encourage interdependence. I believe that responsible, inclusive, and innovative teaching grows from strong teaching communities, where we work together to reflect upon our pedagogies and to expand our sense of what teaching writing can be.
